The Studio

The small studio behind your game-day colors

Every Samps sign starts as original license-plate-style collage artwork, then gets UV-printed onto a whole aluminum panel and packed for your wall.

Where every sign starts

Samps is a small studio, not a warehouse. We make one kind of thing and we try to make it really well: wall signs that spell out the team, the town, or the rally cry you'd actually say out loud.

When an order comes in, a real person checks the artwork, runs the print, inspects the finish, and packs it for the trip to your wall.

That's the whole idea: a sign that feels made for you, because the artwork was prepared for your order.

craft

Artwork with the slat look

Every design uses license-plate-style collage artwork: colored bands, bold letters, and bolt-hole details arranged across one 16-by-6-inch panel of brushed aluminum.

We design around your colors, never a generic template: scarlet and gray for Columbus, burnt orange for Austin, navy and gold for South Bend. The satin sheen and clean modern type keep it sharp instead of kitschy.

It lands under a pound and ready to hang, so it goes from the box to the wall in a couple of minutes.

process

Made to order, never pulled off a shelf

Nothing here sits in a bin waiting to be shipped. We print your sign after you order it, then it's on its way in three to five days.

Each one is finished with UV-resistant inks and a protective satin clear-coat, so the colors stay game-day bright indoors or in a covered outdoor spot.

Pre-drilled corners and screws come in the box, and it's light enough to hang with dorm-safe adhesive strips when you can't use screws.

Studio feature

A darker back-plate for the hands-on work.

The Slat System is not decoration pasted onto the site. It is the same visual logic as the printed artwork: aluminum, bolts, rails, team color, and clean type brought together as one finished design.

Customer notes

The detail people mention after it hits the wall.

"Ordered it for my daughter's graduation and it showed up in four days, ready to hang. The scarlet and gray came out exactly like the photo; she put it up the same afternoon."

Marcus, Columbus, OH

Scarlet & gray game-day sign

"The burnt orange is dead-on, not the muddy orange you get on cheap prints. It's the first thing people notice when they walk into the den."

Danielle, Austin, TX

Burnt orange & white game-day sign

"I figured a made-to-order sign would take forever. It was on my wall inside a week, and the aluminum feels solid; not the flimsy tin I expected."

Theo, Knoxville, TN

Orange & white game-day sign

"Asked them to work my dad's class year into it and they had a proof back the next day. Easily the best gift I've given him."

Renee, South Bend, IN

Navy & gold custom game-day sign

"Pre-drilled corners and screws were right in the box, so it took about two minutes to hang over my desk. Light but sturdy, and the color is spot on."

Priya, Chapel Hill, NC

Carolina blue & white game-day sign

"Bought one for the basement bar and it looks sharp and modern: clean lines, real metal, none of the fake-aged junk you see everywhere. Already planning a second."

Sam, Asheville, NC

Let's design yours

Find your team and your colors in the shop, or tell us what to spell: a name, a class year, a bar's nickname, a hometown. If it can work as clean collage-style artwork, we can turn it into an aluminum sign.

Custom work is the part we love most, and it's where this studio started. Send us the words; we'll design the sign.
